Spring cleaning (more on that later) but is it worth listing this mower on CL at all? Snapped bolt holding gas tank to engine, needed some TLC, but still ran like a top (that leaked oil, gas, and shook a lot).

If not I’m just going to recycle it.

Whatever course of action you decide on I hope it doesn’t involve loading the thing up with tannerite.

Donate it to the local votec school if you have one. If not put it on side of the road and I guarantee someone will take it.

Launch it in a catapult and invent the new sport of “lawn mower launching”

I have a reel mower so it sounds worth it to me.

Absolutely this. Whenever I clear a garden, if the customer doesn’t want them or doesn’t wish to sell them, I leave extraneous items out on the roadside and invariably they all disappear within a week no matter the condition or item type.

It all depends on your tolerance for dealing with people.

You’ll probably only fetch $20-$30 for it.

Post it up for $25-30 and if you get no bites, donate it. That was basically my system. This is small enough that in pretty much any metro it’ll sell very quickly if it’s cheap, regardless of condition.

I sold a ton of crap when I moved from San Diego, then donated the rest. You'd be surprised what people will buy if it's cheap enough.

My wife and I keep a list of things we want to get rid of that might be worth a few bucks but aren’t worth the hassle of CL for the next garage sale. Our HOA does one annual community garage sale which pretty much guarantees enough of a crowd to sell something like this. Last year we got rid of an old rocking chair and washing machine within the first half hour, were $100 richer, and sat on our porch with our coffee people watching the crowds at our neighbor's huge pile of old clothing.

Indeed, I just had a dude today who made a three hour round trip to buy an old ceiling fan from me for $15.

I’d list it for $30, and take the first $20 that came my way.
